Today, The Krewe of Okeanos participates in the Mardi Gras 2018 Parade. Originally, they formed to create a neighborhood Mardi Gras Parade on St. Claude, the Krewe of Okeanos moved to the traditional Uptown and Downtown route on St. Charles Avenue. With more than 250 male and female riders on their floats, the Krewe of Okeanos put on an exciting display of beautifully colored floats.
The Krewe Okeanos is known for their elaborate costumes worn by the Captain and King. Each year, the club presents an elegant Coronation Ball when the king is presented instead of the traditional ball masque used in other clubs. A random drawing determine who will be the next queen.
