Grit, Gears, and Glory: The Mud Flies at RWP Spring Break 2026
The Fall Mudcrawl at the Saint Jo Proving Grounds is where the heat of summer starts to break, but the action only gets hotter. For Livin’ Life Magazine, the 2025 Fall event was a masterclass in how Texas does a “public party”—with 1,200 acres of chaos and some of the rowdiest rigs in the country.
Dirt, Diesel, and Deep Water: Fall Mudcrawl 2025
The dust hadn’t even settled from the trek in before the air was filled with the scream of big-block engines. The Fall Mudcrawl 2025 brought the faithful back to Saint Jo, and the Proving Grounds were primed for a beating. This event has a different soul than Spring Break; it’s a bit grittier, a bit more about the machine versus the terrain, but the party is just as loud.
The Main Stage of Mayhem
Down at the Truck Tug-o-War pad, the ground was literally shaking. Watching two massive rigs chained back-to-back, tires digging for purchase until the black smoke blotted out the sun, is a sight you have to see in person to believe. There were classes for everything from 1-ton daily drivers to the 5-ton monsters that look like they eat smaller trucks for breakfast.
The Truck Bounty Hole was another story entirely. It wasn’t just about horsepower; it was about who had the stones to keep the throttle pinned when the water hit the windshield. We saw some incredible runs that had the crowd on their feet, including a historic moment where a lady driver took home the top honors for the first time—proving once and for all that the mud doesn’t care who’s behind the wheel.
Scrappy Racing and High-Speed Stupidity
For those who like their racing a little more “budget-friendly,” the Master Beater Junk Car Race delivered the goods. It’s a beautiful kind of carnage watching cars that should be in a scrap heap catching air and trading paint on the dirt track. It’s fast, it’s dirty, and it’s the most fun you can have with a five-hundred-dollar car.
And of course, no RWP is complete without the Barbie Downhill. Gravity and plastic wheels are a dangerous combination, and the crashes this fall were some of the best we’ve captured yet.
The Night Shift
When the sun set over the North Texas hills, the party didn’t skip a beat. The Silver Star Saloon was the heartbeat of the night, packed with muddy boots and high spirits. Between the live music and the world-famous bikini contest, the energy was electric. Whether you were roughing it in the “Back 40” or living large in a Class A, the brotherhood of the mud was on full display.
Livin’ Life Magazine was there to document every snapped axle and every late-night toast. Fall Mudcrawl 2025 reminded us that out here, the rigs are big, the mud is deep, and the life is lived wide open. Head to the website to see the full gallery and find your crew in the chaos!
